Funders

We don’t do it alone. From partnerships with local governments to nonprofit collaborations and community-driven projects, DSCLT is a trusted ally in Delaware’s fight for housing equity.

Why Fund a Land Trust?

Community Benefits

Land trusts contribute to the well-being of communities by providing housing opportunities and supporting local economies.

Lasting Affordability

We acquire and hold the land, and build housing on the land, selling the house but not the land to low income families at an affordable price.

Stewardship

Conserving land is just the beginning. To ensure its continued health and sustainability, it's essential to invest in proper stewardship. This involves careful planning, financial resources, and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and the community.

Resale

Residents of a community land trust (CLT) can sell their homes. There is a limit on resale profits to ensure that the housing remains affordable for the next owner. The buyer must meet the trust's eligibility requirements. Many community land trusts will purchase homes from owners looking to sell and then resell them to eligible buyers.

How Diamond State Community Land Trust Makes a Difference

At Diamond State Community Land Trust, we believe that everyone deserves a place to call home—not just for today, but for generations to come. Through innovation, stewardship, and community collaboration, we’re redefining what lasting affordability means in Delaware.

Planting Roots for the Future

By providing access to permanently affordable homes, DSCLT helps individuals and families build equity, stability, and a sense of belonging. Our model ensures that affordability isn’t a fleeting benefit—it’s a foundation for the future.
